Terms of Service

Last updated: 31 July 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Quit Path ("we", "us"), the operator of Quit Path. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Quit Path is operated by Quit Path, [Your registered business address], United Kingdom. Company number: [Company number, if you register a limited company].

You can reach us at support@quitpath.co.uk. We aim to reply to all enquiries within two working days.

2. Quit Path is support, not medical treatment

Quit Path provides behavioural coaching content, habit tracking and self-help tools. It is not a medical device, it does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified healthcare professional.

If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, are using nicotine replacement therapy or prescription cessation medication, or you experience severe withdrawal symptoms, speak to your GP, pharmacist or local stop-smoking service. In the UK, NHS stop-smoking services are free.

If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, contact your local emergency services, or in the UK call 999 or Samaritans on 116 123. Do not rely on this app in an emergency.

3. Eligibility and your account

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, we recommend discussing quitting with a parent, guardian or healthcare professional as well as using the app.

You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately if you believe someone else has accessed it.

You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.

4. Membership, free trial and pricing

New accounts include a 7-day free trial with full access. No payment is taken during the trial and you are not charged unless you choose a paid plan.

Membership costs £8.99 per month or £79.99 per year, including VAT where applicable. Prices are shown in pounds sterling at checkout.

Paid memberships renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, using your saved payment method, until you cancel. We will tell you by email at least 14 days before any price increase affecting your renewals.

If a payment fails, we may retry it and may suspend access to paid features until payment succeeds.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card details — Stripe handles card data on our behalf under its own terms and privacy policy.

Depending on your location, Stripe may act as the merchant of record and appear on your bank or card statement alongside our name.

6. Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel at any time from your account page. Cancelling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

If you are a consumer in the UK or EU, you have a legal right to cancel a purchase made online within 14 days of buying it. By starting your membership immediately you ask us to begin the service during that period; if you then cancel within the 14 days, we will refund the amount you paid less a proportionate charge for the period you had access.

Outside the statutory cancellation period, payments are non-refundable except where required by law or where we decide, at our discretion, that a refund is fair. Contact us and we will look at it honestly.

We do not charge a cancellation fee and we do not require notice.

7. Acceptable use

Do not share your account with others, resell or redistribute our content, scrape the service, attempt to bypass payment or access controls, or use the service to break the law.

All content in the app — including the programme, articles and coaching material — belongs to us and is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use while your account is active.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms. If we close your account for a breach, we may withhold a refund for the remainder of the period.

8. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, change features, or withdraw parts of the service.

If we make a change that materially reduces what you are paying for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused part of your current period.

9. Our liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. We are not liable for outcomes relating to your health, for relapse, or for decisions you make based on the content in the app.

We provide the service to you as a consumer for personal use. We are not liable for business losses.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you or show a notice in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you keep the benefit of any mandatory protections of your home country.
